Designing flyers for IMPACT

Here are some suggestions for creating high impact flyers.

1. Use one dominate headline and or graphic.
Sometimes refered to as the hero, this headline or graphic gives
the consumer/reader a focal point. It creates hierarchy letting the
consumer/reader know where to look first. This is where you want to
put your eye candy because this graphic or headline is what pulls
them in to read more.

2. Use no more than two fonts.
Any more than two the flyer begins to look chaotic

3. Leave some white space so you don't work the readers eye to much.
Let the flyer breathe. It is not necessary to fill every inch of the flyer.

4. Make sure it is readable. (good fonts)
This is very important especially if you want consumer/reader to come to the event.
If you make them work hard to read it, then they wont read it. Remember we humans
gravitate towards things that take less effort.

5. Give direction on what you want them to do.
for example: call 248-632-0662 or visit www.cdesign8.com
for more information. The flyer should give highlighted benefits followed by a
phone number or website for more info. Other wise the flyer becomes a brochure.
Respect the consumer/readers time and get to the point.
