PORTFOLIO HIGH LIGHT

My wife finally decided to start up a business selling cheese cake. Of course I
created the logo. She selected the name Delite (pronounced Day light) and
explained the feel she wanted for the logo and I went to brainstorming.

Here are a few of my first sketches.

From our discussions I went for a soft yet elegant feel that said delicatessen. This
drove me to use a rounded font type. The slices in the logo were derived from further
conversation with my wife. I usually work in black and white and then color.

The Second batch of ideas drifted away from the pie slices to customizing the type.
Customizing the type I could give it a classic elegant feel. I also changed the fonts I worked with.

Out of these images she picked one and I explored on that idea even further.
The hyphen over the e was created to help with the pronunciation. I played with colors
and experimented with enclosures and came up with these results.

I was pretty happy with it.

Polished it up in photoshop. If you would like me to design a logo for you go to my contact page and contact me.
